The best way to get to Ile Faignond and to eat there is to go through Maman Mado. At the time of our report, the place was on the verge of being taken over, but Maman Mado was still welcoming customers by reservation. She offers good-quality local cuisine, with grilled meat and fish on the menu. The setting is exotic and charming. You'll feel right at home here for a peaceful lunch, just a stone's throw from Brazzaville. The price for the pirogue defies all competition. Friendly welcome.
