This is one of the sapeurs' strongholds on Avenue Matsoua, where a typically Congolese atmosphere prevails off the sidewalks, especially at weekends. Tables and chairs are added, moved or exchanged, as customers come and go to take their mind off things. There's a lot of chattering, shouting and singing, not to mention the DJ spinning his decks in the street! Here, you're sure to make a few friendly friends over a cold local beer. On Sundays, and sometimes Saturdays, from 5 p.m., you can watch the sapeurs on parade.
