POSTE FRONTIÈRE
On Monday and Friday, market days, Haitians and Dominicans freely cross the bridge, but foreigners are not exempt from customs formalities (providing for approximately dollars to carry out entry and exit taxes). For pedestrians with luggage, use brouettiers. On the Dominican side, after the Dajabon border Crossing, take a motorcycle to reach the bus station, located downstream of the customs. One third of cross-border trade takes place here, making the border post the second most borrowed crossing point on the island.
