PISCO CAPEL
One of the biggest producers of pisco. A slightly "industrial" visit, but interesting explanations and a fun cocktail workshop
Vicuña is home to the Capel cooperative, which produces pisco of the same name, one of Chile's most widely consumed products. Here, the entire process of making, fermenting and distilling pisco is explained (in Spanish and English), and there's also a small pisco museum. It's an impressive experience for those accustomed to small-scale production. It is, as one might say, " heavy artillery". However, the explanations are interesting, and the tour includes a cocktail workshop, adding a playful touch to the tour and tasting.
