Founded on 22 April 1831, the capital of Limari province (approximately 105 000 inhabitants in 2012) is located in a fertile valley. Its activity focuses on agriculture (vine, fruit and vegetables) and production production. The city is not tourist but can be a starting point for discovering the Valle del Encanto and the Fray Jorge National Park, although it is singularly lacking in charm.
