To take a bus (ticket prices start at $670 and go up to $800), don't forget to buy a Bip card (www.tarjetabip.cl), which gives you access to buses and the metro (note that you can use the metro without a Bip! card, but not the bus). The card costs $1,550, after which you'll need to spend at least another $1,000 to travel (every time the card runs out of money, at least another $1,000).
