Building known as the soul of Auroville, a place dedicated to meditation, concentration and trying to find one's consciousness

The main building is a flattened sphere, 36 meters in diameter, in which the Inner Room designed by The Mother is placed. It is a place "for concentration and for trying to find one's consciousness". In the hall with the crystal globe - the largest single crystal in the world - everything is white. There are no flowers, no incense, no music, because The Mother did not want this to be a religious place: "There must be absolutely no dogma, no rules, no rituals." In the midst of total silence, people can sit and meditate.

Ce site est particulier. La visite commence par une vidéo sur la création et le but d'Auroville, à savoir la concentration sur soi-même. Personnellement je n'ai pas adhéré. On pense davantage à une secte et le matmandir, impressionnant par ailleurs fait penser à un bâtiment de science fiction.

Lieu original et curieux.
Utopie, secte ou un business centre : Ce lieu ne laisse pas indifférent mais les avis des visiteurs sont très partagés.
Le site proche est proche de Pondichéry aussi n'hésitez pas à vous y rendre pour vous faire votre opinion.
Le Mantrimandir est rayonne dans son parc alors que la banian sacré rappelle des traditions africaines
