TEMPLES JAÏNS DE HALEBID
This complex comprises three Jain basadi (temples) built in the 12th century during the Hoysala reign, dedicated to three Tîrthankara (Jain masters who attained omniscience): Parshvanatha, Shantinatha and Adinatha. The Parshvanatha Basadi, dating from 1133, features massive turned pillars and a superb idol statue in the sanctuary. The Shantinatha Basadi, dating from 1192, is quite similar. Finally, the Adinatha Basadi, the small temple between the two, formerly contained a statue of Bahubali, now on display near the Hoysalesvara temple.
