THE SALVATION ARMY RED SHIELD HOSTEL

A youth hostel located in Colaba behind the Taj Mahal Palace. Practical and cheap, it is an address often full. It's obviously not very luxurious but the rooms and dormitories are very well kept. The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:45 am. Please note: this is a religious organization that advocates fairly conservative Catholic ideas. The doors close at midnight and check-out is before 9am.
