TIBETAN DELEK HOSPITAL
Delek Hospital is a Tibetan hospital located in Dharamsala, northern India. Founded in 1971, it serves Tibetan refugees, Indian and Western communities in the region, as well as tourists from all over the world. The hospital practices mainly modern medicine and offers a range of medical services, including outpatient consultations, inpatient care, a pharmacy, an X-ray department and a laboratory. It also has a dental clinic and a tuberculosis clinic. It has 45 beds and employs seven resident Tibetan doctors and ten nurses to provide ongoing care. The hospital is registered as a charitable institution and strives not to turn away any patients, particularly those who are poor or destitute. It is supported by generous donations and benefactors from all over the world.
