MANU MAHARISHI TEMPLE

Continuing the climb past Old Manali, is this ancient temple dedicated to King Manu, who later became the sage Manu. Legend has it that the temple was built on the exact spot where he meditated. Located in a traditional village, you will not fail to admire the amazing traditional architecture of the houses. The lower part of the house is usually reserved for livestock (goats, cows, yaks), the upper part being the living area. Continue further up, past the Himalayan Country House, for a nice walk along the Manalsu River.
