Temple on Tarna hill dedicated to the goddess Kali, dating from the century and featuring paintings of the Devi.
The Shyama Kali temple (or Tarna Devi temple) stands on the hill of Tarna, above the city, and you have to climb more than 300 steps to reach it. It is dedicated to the goddess Kali, a form of Parvati. Dating from the 17th century, it was built by Raja Syama Sen who ruled Mandi at the time. Its walls are decorated with paintings representing Devi (goddess) in different forms (Parvati, Durga, Kali, etc.). If you enjoy walking, the surroundings of Mandi are beautiful and offer good opportunities for wandering.
