DEVNADI - THE HERITAGE

This charming hotel is the former private house of the queen of Nepal, then that of Ramanand Sagar, the writer and director of the series Ramayana for Indian TV. This beautiful Art Nouveau building overlooks the Ganges and has its own private ghat. It has 13 rooms, the most beautiful of which overlook the river. Those on the courtyard are small and too expensive. The hotel is furnished with beautiful old pieces, perfectly polished. In the morning and evening, theaarti is celebrated in the private temple. Classical music performances in the courtyard.
