The Taj-ul-Masjid would be one of the largest mosques in the country and one of the most beautiful. It was begun in 1878 by Shah Jahan Begum and has never been completed despite the work that was resumed almost thirty years ago. A nice contrast of colours is offered to visitors between the white domes and minarets and the rose of the building.

Une mosquée géante
L'entrée dans la cour de la mosquee est très impressionnante. On est écrasé par la hauteur des minarets et des coupoles. C'est une mosquée très populaire qui voit peu de visiteurs donc l'accueil y est très chaleureux. Accès un peu compliqué mais gratuit. Moins jolie néanmoins que celle de Fatehpur Sikri à Agra
