NAGESHWAR JYOTIRLINGA TEMPLE

This temple located less than 2 km north-east of the city is dedicated to Shiva. It is one of the sacred temples of Hinduism as it houses one of the 12 jyotirlinga, a representation of the god Shiva in the form of a highly revered cylindrical stone. The building itself is not very interesting, except for a large statue of Shiva standing at the entrance. However, the devotion shown by the devotees is absolutely fascinating, and you too can see the sacred object of worship.
