Seven kilometers west of Jaisalmer, on the road to Lodurva and not far from Bada Bagh, this small lake is a man-made reservoir. It is bordered by a sumptuous Jain temple with delicate floral motifs, representative of the extraordinary skill of the Jaisalmer sculptors. A small summer palace built in the 17th century by Rawal Amar Singh also overlooks the lake. The place can be the object of a pleasant walk by bicycle or motorized two-wheeler and will please the contemplative ones. It is not uncommon to see shepherds coming to water their flocks of sheep and goats, an opportunity to take nice pictures.
