This 300-year-old haveli is ideally located below the fort. As a hotel in 1996, the property of the Maharaja De is now managed by its nephew, Prince Vikram, who has created an original atmosphere. Surrounded by a beautiful patio, the rooms are individually furnished and equipped with antique furniture. Poster beds, tiled bathrooms, stone walls; some think inside a manor house. The rooms have been renovated and there are now 4 new suites with mini-bar and 9 rooms in the Deluxe category. On the roof, Saffron Restaurant serves delicious local and western cuisine (about 180 Rs/flat) and home-made specialities from anywhere else. Slow service, but the result is convincing and, above all, they are doing to find something to eat, even very late in the evening. The hotel agency organizes safaris. Free Wi-Fi and laundry service.
Count between Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,500, breakfast included. Free transfers to/from the bus or railway station (on request). Reservation recommended.
