You will find some Rajasthani specialties and a 100% vegetarian menu in this restaurant run by a Jain family. You can enjoy the pleasant garden in the shade of trees and the facade of this beautiful haveliin red stone. And if it is very hot, the air-conditioned dining room is quite pleasant too, although a bit dark. The limited menu offers a tasty cuisine, not too spicy. Indians and Western tourists know where to find quality at the right price and the tables are crowded at meal times.

You'll have to climb several flights of stairs to reach the roof of this beautifully appointed little café. Mattresses on the floor covered with colorful drapes, large cushions, low wooden tables and carpets, that's the setting. Prefer the tables at the back which look directly onto the fort. The café offers an impressive menu with no less than 17 ways to prepare chicken! The service is a bit slow and nonchalant, but very nice. And the wifi works perfectly. A good place to rest for a while, on the terrace or in the room.

Fancy a thali? Try this restaurant... or rather this regular canteen which is located on the street. It offers thali with local flavors at low prices. At first sight, the place doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled by appearances. You will have a king's meal here at an unbeatable price, far from the small cafés for tourists in the Blue City. On the other hand, the service is sometimes a bit slow and it is better not to have a train to catch. The restaurant is located in a lively area, between the Clock Tower and the train station.

Located on the top terrace of the rather old Stepwell House, the Jharokha 360° offers one of the most beautiful views of the Mehrangarh fort in the blue city. You feel very small in the shadow of the imposing iconic silhouette. The terrace has been very nicely furnished, with beautiful armchairs and sofas adorned with cream cushions that surround wooden coffee tables with metal legs. The menu offers a tour of North India with few suggestions, but they are effective: kebabs, tandoori chicken, lal maas or biryani.
