Fort built in 1354, worth a visit for a pleasant stroll and a magnificent view of Bundi at sunset

Above the Garh Palace, Fort Taragarh, which means "Fort of the Star", was built in 1354 by Rao Raja Bar Singh. Although neglected, a visit to this fort is a pleasant stroll with a magnificent view of Bundi, especially at sunset. Watch out for the monkeys! Just to be on the safe side, carry a stick; that should be enough to keep them away. Points of interest include the Bheem Burj, the tallest tower in the fort, and the 84-pillar cenotaph built by Bhai Deva, brother of Bheem Rao Anirudh Singh.

a fort a bit different from the other forts of the rajahstan, measures or it was abandoned for many years. however, its character more " in ruine" the others that gives it a certain style. you will regret the lack of lighting in some rooms containing interesting paintings.
