SIDI MOHAMMED BEN ABDELLAH MUSEUM
A 2-storey museum brimming with information, ethnographic objects and a fine collection of Gnaoua musical instruments
Since 1980, the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah Museum has been housed in a beautiful manor house, once used as a town hall and then as a youth center. It is packed with information and beautiful ethnographic objects: photos, pottery, amulet jewelry, carpets and, above all, a fine collection of Gnaoua musical instruments. On two levels, it offers a very complete and instructive picture of the history of Essaouira and its region, its culture and the traditions of its inhabitants.
