MOULAY ISMAIL KSAR
Ksar of Moulay Ismaïl, used as a set and film location for many films, offering an interesting visit into the past.
Built in the 17th century, this imposing ksar is made entirely of adobe. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that some 1,500 people still live here. The visit, a sort of journey into the past, is quite interesting. It gives an insight into the way of life of yesteryear in what sometimes seem like forgotten relics. Another source of pride for the locals, the ksar has also been used as a set and film location for many films, including a version of The Little Prince and Marco Polo. A must-see when visiting Rissani.
