A well-preserved fortified village still inhabited today, offering a warm welcome amidst the remains of a bygone age

Don't miss this old fortified village dating back to the time when each tribe had to protect itself from the many war attacks. Between the Atlas and the desert, in the heart of the Gheris oasis, this well preserved and still inhabited adobe ksar is built according to traditional architecture. Inside, you will get lost in the maze of its narrow streets, through its typical houses and vaulted passages, marked with Berber symbols. The inhabitants and children of the village warmly welcome you to the heart of the remains of another time.
