This town of 17,000 inhabitants is located about 60 km from Er-Rachidia on the road to Tinghir. From there, you can easily reach Erfoud by a tarred road. It is a magnificent oasis, with more than 100,000 palm trees, totally outside the tourist circuits which deserves to be visited by lovers of authenticity. It is watered by the Ghéris wadi which takes its source in the central High Atlas and shelters food and cereal crops. Besides losing yourself in its palm grove, you can also visit its ksar. If you wish to spend the night there, you will find some decent accommodation as well as a nice campsite, with a swimming pool.
