A few steps away from the bustle of the Boulevard Pasteur, in a pedestrian street that goes down to the corniche, Stéphanie and her small team have been running this place since 2010. In 2021, it was awarded the prize "bookshop outside France" by the magazine Livres Hebdo. You will find works in French, novels, essays, beautiful books and also children's literature. Meetings are regularly organized with authors as well as exhibitions of paintings or photos. The bookshop also organizes a book club on the last Sunday of each month.

Owner's Message
Open since January 2010, the les insolites bookshop also offers a regular exhibition space for visual artists and photographers, and a table d'hôtes on the first 3 days of the week. A landmark on the Tangier promenade, les insolites is a meeting place, a cultural hub where conferences, literary sessions, poetry readings and vernissages are organized. A place apart, where booksellers advocate independence of choice in their literary selection, reading references and defending French-speaking authors. The Les Insolites bookshop also offers bag creations, made-to-measure notebooks, an extensive children's and comics section, and unusual gift ideas. It also produces limited editions of fine art photography in partnership with artists.
