Mogodé is a small town on the road from Mokolo, a dozen kilometres from Rhumsiki. It is set at the foot of the peak of the same name, a kind of very impressive "sugar bread", even though it is smaller than the needle of Dominant dominant Rhumsiki. Coming from Rhumzu, the trail runs through the village centre of the plantations of acacias and eucalyptus. It is the green that dominates in Mogodé, the result of Operation «Green Sahel» initiated in 1974 and adjourned 5 years later in 1979. This operation, financed by the Cameroonian State, was motivated by the progress of desertification in the Sahel. For 5 years, during school holidays, students were organized for students of urban schools in order to plant and reconstruct a plant mat that could block the progress of the desert. These forests of acacias and eucalyptus are the visible witness of this operation, which is worthy of praise. Perfectly maintained, they mingle with the cultures, omnipresent in the surroundings, even on the slopes surrounding Mogodé.In the centre of this village, on the main avenue, lies the house of the leader, green and ochre, adjacent to the mosque. Here, all houses are reproduced on the same model. They are surrounded by beautiful loudspeakers in perfect shape, land and even stone. To reach Rhumsiki from Mogodé, take left 200 m after the chef's house, at the level of a large administrative building where the national flag floats. The hilly trail is lined with acacias. At the summit, a remarkable panorama awaits you.
