THE ARTISANAL COMPLEX

Maroua's artisan complex is home to numerous craftsmen working in wood, textiles and, above all, leather, an ancestral skill typical of the region. You'll find clothing, decorative objects and sculptures, leather bags, belts and sandals, as well as furniture such as leather poufs and carpets, or these handcrafted armchairs made entirely from ox horns, and many other curiosities... It's a kind of big, friendly exhibition/market where you can haggle and chat with the local artisans.
