Kipovi Most
Bridge built in 1936 over the Jala River, adorned with four statues of men carrying stylized salt crystals. Pedestrianized and equipped with benches.
This bridge (Kipovi Most) has spanned the Jala since 1936. Situated 200 m south-west of Freedom Square, it is adorned with four sculptures: men carrying amphorae topped by coloured lamp posts in the shape of salt crystals. This is the only major surviving work by Bosnian-Croat Franjo Leder (1905-1963), whose other works in Zagreb were destroyed by the Croatian Ustasha during the Second World War. But two small statues by Leder can also be seen on the shores of the Pannonia lakes: Leda and a Discus Thrower (1938-1939).
