This square (Trg Platana/Трг Платана) is the most pleasant in the country. It lies right in the center of Trebinje, on the right bank of the Trebišnjica, west of the Old Town and north of Jovan-Dučić Park. Created by the Austro-Hungarians, it is lined with café-restaurant terraces and by sixteen plane trees planted in 1901. It comprises two areas. To the northwest, the large Place de la Liberté (Trg Slobode, 5,000m2) hosts a small daily market. To the southeast, Floral Square (Cvjetni Trg, 2,600m2) houses the tourist office.
