Vast ruined fortress with thirteen square towers, on a hill 120 m above sea level, sheltering the Roman town of Dilentum.
This ruined fortress (Vidoški Grad) is one of the largest in Herzegovina (20 ha). It is located on a hill 120 m above sea level, which was home to the Roman city of Dilentum. Fortress of the herzeg Stefan Vukčić in the fifteenth century, it was remodeled by the Ottomans in the seventeenth century with thirteen square towers. The ramparts were renovated by the Austro-Hungarians in 1883 and a new fort was built in the upper part in 1888. Beautiful vaulted passages, wide panorama on the region and access by a path arranged since 2003 with a catholic way of the cross.
