Crkva Svetih Petra i Pavla
Serbian Orthodox church dating from 1505. In the cemetery: two rock-hewn seats, where justice was dispensed in the Middle Ages.
This small Serbian Orthodox church (Crkva Svetih Petra i Pavla/Црква Светог Петра и Павла) was built in 1505. It lies 3.5 km northwest of Stolac, along the road leading to the Daorson site. In the cemetery stand the "judges' chairs" (Sudačke Stolice), two seats carved into the rock, one of them 2.5 m high. This is where justice was dispensed in the Middle Ages. The town's name may come from this high "chair"(stolac in Croatian).
