Crkva Gospe od Zdravlja
Small Catholic church at the top of the town. Amazing shape inspired by the conch shell, an Adriatic mollusc.
This modern Catholic church (Crkva Gospe od Zdravlja) is located at the top of the town. But it is discreet. The reason: the building permit issued in 1983 specified that the edifice should not be visible from either the main road or the sea. Completed in 1994, it follows the spiral shape of a marine mollusc: the horn conch. It was originally built in a brutalist style, in raw concrete. Since its renovation in 2019, however, it has been clad in grey and white mesh.
