Most u Klepcima
Elegant stone bridge built in 1517. Its unique hump-backed arch is reminiscent of Mostar's Old Bridge, built in 1566.
This elegant 78 m-long stone bridge (Most u Klepcima) lies 2.2 km southeast of Čapljina, between the villages of Tasovčići and Klepci. Since 1517, it has spanned the Bregava, which comes from Stolac to join the Neretva a little further on. Also known as the Mustabey Bridge (Mustaj-Begov Most), it was built by order of the Ottoman governor Mustafa-bey. Its unique hump-backed arch (17.52 m span and 6.30 m height above the water) is reminiscent of the Old Bridge in Mostar, which was built almost fifty years later.
