Narodno Pozorište Mostar
National theater founded in 1951. 300-seat auditorium. Host to the Mostarska Liska festival in May.
This theater (Narodno Pozorište Mostar) is located on the left bank, 450 m north of the Old Bridge on Maršala-Tita Street. When it opened in 1951, it was the most modern theater in Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was used as a shelter during the siege of 1993-1994. Since 2004, its 300-seat "big hall" has hosted the Mostarska Liska ("Mostar fox") festival, in which troupes from the former Yugoslavia perform for a month in May. Pleasant café with terrace along Maršala-Tita street.
