This theater (Hrvatsko Narodno Kazalište u Mostaru) overlooks the Spanish Steps to the north. It is the main Bosnian-Croat cultural institution in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The imposing new building was still under construction at the end of 2025. It will replace the former theater, created here in 2011 on the site of the Hit department store (1973) destroyed during the last war. Until it reopens, performances are mainly held at the Kosača cultural center, southwest of Zrinjevac Park.
