Džamija Hadži Ali Bega Lafe
Small mosque dating from the early century. It was blown up in 1993 and rebuilt in 2009 using some of the original materials.
This small mosque (Džamija Hadži Ali Bega Lafe) lies 550 m west of the Franciscan monastery, on the corner of Franjevačka and Kraljice-Katarine streets. Built in the early 17th century, it was blown up in 1993 and rebuilt in 2009 using some of the original materials. It is home to a small number of Bosnians who have returned to live here. But neighborly relations are strained, with a bar across the street for supporters of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, the town's "Croatian" soccer club.
