Vučjakovića Džamija
Domed mosque built around 1558-1564 in a Dalmatian-influenced style. It also contains an improvised cemetery built during the siege of the city.
This domed mosque (Vučjakovića Džamija) is located on the left bank, 250 m north of the Old Bridge on Maršala Tita Street. Also known as the "mosque under the lime tree" (Džamija Pod Lipom), it was built around 1558-1564 in a Dalmatian-influenced style. Damaged during the siege of the city, it adjoined an improvised cemetery in 1993, and its 25 m-high minaret was rebuilt six years later. It is now only used for Friday prayers and Eid. A little further up Bajatova Street are the Herzegovina Museum and the Clock Tower.
