These strange pink or red petals (Sarajevske Ruže) are the traces left on the ground by shell and grenade explosions during the 1992-1996 siege. As early as 1996, some of these small craters were filled with red resin to preserve the memory of the inhabitants killed and wounded on the spot. In the early 2000s, there were 300 of these bloody flowers throughout the city. Some have disappeared with time or during construction. But others are still well preserved and maintained, notably the one located in front of the Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Ces roses... ou éclaboussure de sang plutôt, vous ne pouvez pas les rater en déambulant dans la ville. À la mémoire de la guerre, j’ai trouvé la méthode originale .

Les Roses rouges peuvent être vues dans diverses parties de la ville, du plus moderne aux côtés du pont. Ce qui serait peut-être manquant serait une référence à eux car ils ne peuvent pas passer inaperçus car si vous ne l'avez pas lu, vous ne savez pas ce que c'est.

Visibles au pied de la cathédrale, impossible de ne pas les voir...Mémoire d'une guerre qui ne fut pas très lointaine et encore présente dans les esprits.
Des petites tâches rouges qui font œuvre de mémoire, c'est assez bouleversant !
