PROMENADE WILSON

The 3.5 km long road along the Miljacka River (Vilsonovo šetalište) has a path for jogging or strolling under the trees by the river. The walk also passes by small parks with fitness facilities. Named since 1919 in honor of the 28th president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924), and renamed "Youth Parkway" during the socialist period, it is closed to traffic on weekends and holidays from 5:00 p.m. to midnight. It is one of the favorite places of Sarajevans to walk.
