CAPE VERDE BOTANICAL GARDENS
Botanical gardens south of a beach, home to gigantic tropical and subtropical trees and various plant species.
Gigantic tropical and subtropical trees stand on this steep hill overlooking the Black Sea. Here, the Kobuleti Massif of the Lesser Caucasus flows directly into the depths of the sea. The garden was founded in 1912 by the botanist Alexei Krasnov who dreamed of transforming Adjaria into the Russian Riviera. He had hundreds of plant species imported to create this lush hillside. To the south of the garden, the beach is very pleasant.
