Construite en hauteur au dessus de la vieille ville et de la rivière cette cathédrale est originale par sa taille et ses intéressants bas reliefs. A l intérieur le balcon en ossature métallique moderne est bien intégré à l édifice.

Joli bâtiment
Même si la reconstruction est toute récente, ce monument est joli à regarder ! Vous bénéficierez d’un belle vue sur la ville.

Although we could not enter, Bagrati Cathedral is really a pleasure for the eyes, especially at sunset, where the green domes of this orthodox place of worship can be more appreciated. From the adjacent lawn, we have an interesting view of Koutaïssi.

A building rebuilt after 400 years the Turks destroyed. UNESCO estimated that the catering were very badly… but not so bad!!! Behind the cathedral is a destroyed citadel is for foreigners dare go… we must climb the ruins.

Elle est impressionnante par sa taille et son importance religieuse - on y trouve des reliques - mais sa décoration intérieure est bien plus simple que celle d'autres monastères et églises du pays.
