TSIKHE PETERS

This medieval fortress (10th-11th centuries) is located just in front of the Romanov Palace on the right bank of the river Kura. Beautifully perched on the hill, it promises beautiful views of the Kuras, the city and Bordjomi's other fortress, Gogias Tsikhe. Its ascent is a very beautiful walk. There is a bridge just in front of the palace to cross - beware! boards may be missing. Once on the other side, turn right along the railway; after a small tunnel, there is a path on the left to climb the hill.
