Famous in the former USSR for its mineral water and thermal baths, admirably situated in the Koura Gorge, Bordjomi is the gateway to one of the most beautiful regions of the Lesser Caucasus. Built by the tsars, who loved idyllic health resorts in the heart of the mountains, it is proud of its imperial history. The city is once again becoming a tourist attraction for Georgians, its spa is open and its national park, under the aegis of the WWF, is the most modern in the country. It has sufficient infrastructure to immerse itself in the heart of the nature of the Lesser Caucasus. You can also see the Romanov Palace and walk to a fortress. Bordjomi is a pleasant base to visit the site of Vardzia and discover the region.
