A large neo-Rococo theater with a sumptuous performance hall and rococo ceiling.
The city's large theatre was built between 1899 and 1901 in a neo-Rocococo style. It was the Society of Artists. At the beginning of the 20th century the Tchimérioni café, gathered the poets of the symbolist group of the Blue Horn. The interior was painted by the artists Lado Gudashvili and Chalva Kikodze. Most of these frescoes were erased during the Soviet times. The café is now located in the changing rooms of the theatre. The auditorium, with its rococo ceiling and red velvet armchairs, is sumptuous.
