It's a piece of the Orient. The building offers a beautiful and unusual image. The opera house, originally called the Caravanserai Opera House, opened its doors in 1851 under the patronage of Viceroy Alexandre Dumas and was lavishly decorated with Moorish refinement. Burned down in 1874, it was rebuilt by the German architect Schroter. The opera house gave concerts and ballets with the most famous artists.

Beau bâtiment à visiter. Environ 10 minutes de la Plaza de la Libertad, par la façon dont sont des bâtiments très intéressants et sur le côté opposé de l'opéra de la rue sont des statues le long de la rue.
