DZVELI SAKHLI (LA VIEILLE MAISON)

This huge complex is often considered the city's best restaurant. With ethnographic and wood-covered rooms, it can accommodate up to 150 people! It comprises a spacious lobby area, where the restaurant is located; There is also a doukani specialized in basic dishes - khinkali, mtsvadi, kababi. There is still a toné (traditional oven). The entire establishment is a folklorisée reconstruction of the old Tbilisi, with terrace (one can dine in summer), balconies, arcades, inner courtyard, traditional objects (arms, pitchers). In general, there is an orchestra playing traditional music and dancers. We may find this historic kitsch reconstitution, but it is certainly picturesque. The menu offers a wide range of national dishes and is of prime quality. Prices are relatively high.
