VASSILY SURIKOV MUSEUM

Birthplace of the realist painter V. Surikov (1828-1916). A fine example of a 19th century Siberian dwelling: a dwelling made of fustus (larch wood) and its outbuildings including a sauna. The interior is as it should be: small nooks and crannies, furnished rooms, a kitchen and a mass stove, all dotted with objects and souvenirs of the painter. Period tools are on display outside. The lily-of-the-valley garden is very pleasant in the summer: you can relax there in peace and quiet!
