Short drive from Pinhão to Casal de Loivos (approx. 10 minutes) to reach the belvedere and its spectacular panoramic view of the Douro. When the sky isn't being too facetious, you can see the imposing Quinta das Carvalhas across the river, Quinta do Bomfim, Quinta da Roêda, Quinta da Foz and Quinta de la Rosa. Nearby, the small D'Origem olive oil museum, where you can sample local products, is well worth a visit.
