Located opposite the village of Pinhão, on the left bank of the Douro, this quinta is one of the Douro's most spectacular. In a region faced with climate disruption, Quinta das Carvalhas stands out for its sustainable viticultural practices and covers 600 hectares, 120 of which are planted with vines, the rest being made up of ecological corridors (forests, olive groves, almond trees and scrubland). Owned by Real Companhia Velha, founded in 1756 (Portugal's oldest active wine house), you'll have the opportunity to take guided walks through the vineyards, with explanations of the estate's innovative viticultural practices.
