This church was built by an Italian architect in the Renaissance in xvie century. It is covered with azulejos both on its façade (xixe century) and inside (xvie century). Note its magnificent gate sculpted according to the style of the school of Coimbra early xvie century.

The cathedral is rather exciting, except for the statue of Christ used for processions. Just behind the cathedral, you will be quite bewitched by the driveway of a small cemetery of large vaults dominating the Central Canal.
