Rather bland, the «new cathedral» of Coimbra is a building dating from the beginning of the th century when it was built by the Jesuits as a church of their order. The interior is very bright, large, but without great interest.

Dressée au dessus de la vieille ville, cette église marque bien l'esprit jésuite dans sa façade au décor intéressant.
L'intérieur est vaste mais présente plusieurs beaux morceaux de sculptures.

En passant, on peut jeter un coup d'oeil à la façade de cette "nouvelle" cathédrale (installée au 18ème siècle dans un édifice du 17ème), et ne pas perdre son temps à l'intérieur.
